In 2023, she sought a conservatorship over Elijah’s finances, citing serious concerns about his mental health, substance use and ability to manage his affairs. She withdrew that petition in 2024 after a private agreement. In 2026, following Elijah’s arrests in New Hampshire and hospitalization in a psychiatric facility, Cher sought a temporary conservatorship again.
