Introduction:

“One-Sided Love Affair” is a song by Elvis Presley from his 1956 debut album Elvis Presley. Later, in August in the same year (1956) it was also released as a single, with “Money Honey” on the flip side.

Presley recorded the song on January 30, 1956, at the RCA Studio in New York. There were six songs handpicked by A&R person Steve Sholes himself for Presley to record for his first album at the sessions, but “One-sided Love Affair” was the only one Presley liked and recorded.

The song was written by Bill Campbell, who had previously written songs for other artists such as Patti Page and Frankie Laine. The lyrics of the song are about a man who is in love with a woman who does not love him back. The man is trying to convince the woman to give him a chance, but she is not interested.

The song was a commercial success, reaching number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was also a hit in the UK, where it reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart.

“One-Sided Love Affair” is considered to be one of Elvis Presley’s early rock and roll classics. It is a good example of his early style, which was characterized by his powerful vocals and energetic delivery. The song is also notable for its catchy melody and its simple but effective lyrics.

“One-Sided Love Affair” is a classic Elvis Presley song that is still popular today. It is a great example of his early rock and roll style and is a must-listen for any fan of Elvis Presley or rock and roll music.
