It’s been over 45 years since the world lost Elvis Presley, but for Priscilla Presley, the memories—and the love—remain vividly alive. Now 78, Priscilla has opened up in a rare interview with the Sunday Times, where she shared intimate reflections on her life with the iconic singer and the emotional weight of his absence.
“Do I dream of Elvis? Sure,” she said. “When someone has been such a big part of your life, that’s bound to happen.”
Their relationship, which began when Priscilla was just a teenager, evolved into a 13-year romance, including six years of marriage. The couple finalized their divorce in 1973—just four years before Elvis died at the age of 42. Though their time as husband and wife was marked by turbulence, fame, and emotional extremes, Priscilla still regards it as one of the most defining chapters of her life.
“Living with him was a rollercoaster,” she admitted, “but I don’t think I’ll ever find anyone I love as much as I loved him.”
The story of their relationship has long captivated the public, most notably in her 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, which inspired Sofia Coppola’s 2023 biopic Priscilla. Through books, interviews, and now film, Priscilla has continued to shape how the world understands Elvis—not just as a superstar, but as a complicated man and partner.
Since their divorce, Priscilla has never remarried, though she spent more than two decades with film producer Marco Garibaldi. Together, they had a son, Navarone Garibaldi, now 36, who has followed a musical path as the lead singer of the rock band Them Guns.
Even with new relationships and personal growth, Priscilla’s emotional connection to Elvis remains profound. And the loss of their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, earlier this year at age 54, only deepened the emotional bond that still lingers between past and present.
Priscilla Presley’s story isn’t just one of nostalgia—it’s about enduring love, memory, and the way some people leave an imprint so deep that time, fame, and even death cannot erase it.
